With solid, knot-free New Zealand pine wood construction and a high 400-pound weight capacity per sleeping surface, the design is safe and secure for kids. The bed safely fits standard twin-size mattresses up to 8 inches thick. The bottom bunk sits only two inches off the floor, making it the perfect sleep option for little ones. The safety guard rails added to the bottom bunk are 13.25 inches tall and can be removed as your child grows. Please note that while add-on guardrails rails can help restrict access and give a sense of protection, they do not prevent all accidents or injuries. Only for use on bottom bunk/bed.
