The Rio Grande, renowned for transporting skiing enthusiasts to the slopes west of Denver, maintained its popularity even as highways improved. This service, running trains up to 17 cars long, continued until 2009. In 1988, the train was modernized with 'new' Canadian equipment, allowing the retirement of vintage coaches dating back to 1915. Our set is inspired by these later years, featuring a power car and premium coaches. Various locomotives, from GP60s to Tunnel Motors, could be used to power the train.
